PetroChina Commences Operations At Daxie Fuel Oil Storage Tank In Ningbo, China
Published: 26-Oct-2009
PetroChina Company Limited (PetroChina) has commenced operations at its Daxie fuel oil storage tank bearing, which has a capacity of 1.3 million cubic meters at Ningbo in Zhejiang province, China, Xinhua News Agency reported. It is the first fuel oil storage tank that PetroChina will run within the energy-guzzling Yangtze River Delta region, traditionally seen as the turf of Sinopec.
A 300,000-dwt wharf, constructed by CITIC Port Investment, Ningbo Port, Ningbo Bohai Shipping Trade, and PetroChina Fuel Oil Company, also came into operations.
According to PetroChina, President Jiang Jiemin said “it is an important move for the company to squeeze into the southern market and will also help alleviate the energy supply shortage in eastern China”.
